The Oklahoma Barbecue Society welcomes you to the OKBS Youth Nationals. Below is the information you will need to compete. This event will challenge the next generation of BBQ competitors to practice and refine their BBQ talents to see who emerges on top.  Each team will consist of up to two youth cooks & one supervisor over 18 years of age.

Teams will compete by age category in one of three divisions. All team members must be in the same age division. 


  Division E
Ages: 6 years thru 10 years old
Meat: Ground Beef

  Division M
Ages: 11 years thru 15 years old
Meat: Chicken

  Division S
Ages: 16 years thru 18 years old
Meat: Steak

Schedule of Events

Friday, Nov. 2
6pm-7pm: Team Check-In / Registration - All Divisions
7pm-9pm: Cooks Meeting / Welcome Cook Site Set-up- All Divisions

Saturday, Nov 3
8:00am: Team Grand Entry / All Divisions
9:00 am: Team Cook Site Set-up Meat and Contest Container Delivery - All Divisions
10:00 am: Cook Site Judging - Best Cook site Decoration Contest - All Divisions
12 Noon: Division E Contest Turn-In
12:45 pm: Division M Contest Turn-In
1:30 pm: Division S Contest Turn-In
3:30 pm: Awards Ceremony
